Foundations of Design Representation.

The Croissant.

The purpose of the task was to explore the process of rendering and executing elevations correctly. Using a croissant as the model to substitute a house or building, the task focused on improving sketching and rendering skills, as well as increasing understanding of axonometric drawings and how they can be pieced together using adjacently placed elevations.
The Croissant.
Reflection.

Through completing the Croissant module, I was able to learn more about my own abilities and weaknesses. I found that I did struggle with proportioning the croissant correctly and ensuring all measurements were accurate and at a 1:1 ratio. I found that I could have also improved my organisation and time allowance, as I felt I did not leave efficient time for the axonometric drawing, and am not pleased with the final result. On the other hand, I feel my initial renders of the croissant were acceptable and display good contrast and convey the texture well. Overall, I feel that the module was a good introduction into the expectations of work at a tertiary level. I have learnt to manage my time better, especially when rendering and completing projects that require me to une techniques that I am not familiar with.
